Хм, меня уверяют, что если лететь по дешевке до питера, и там через финку\прибалтику, можно уложиться в менее чем 10 туда-обратно, но у меня пока и без этого есть меньшие цели, так что все впереди.

Я пока не проверил авианову, но друзья летали в москув на ганз н розес(4600 на все вообще ) и в питер на СКИФ, и уложились по билетам в 2000. Думаю бюджетный трансфер до балтийских аэропортов под тысячу найти без бэ удасться. Вот про лоу-косты европы я пока недоразобрался, но то что за 120(+сборы 30-40) евро туда обратно до амстердама есть, я уже пошерстил, как там вот хз, до эйндховена пока ничего не нашел -(( Итого 3000 р + 150 евро(6000р) + автобус из амстердама в Тильбург.
При этом еть мысль взять здесь сигареты по 1.5 евро чтобы там менять на траву, пиво я почти не пью, а в еде не прихотлив. Самая пока опасная трата это сам билет, но ведь его потом можно если что сбагрить с наваром.
Меня ржать тянет с моей бюджетности.

скорей поезд, чем автобус, но не суть + 50 евро кэмп + 150 евро входной билет(со сбагриванием х.з. в том году сложно было достать после того как фест был "солд оут", а в этом году наоборот много народу продaвало, так что не факт, что продашь потом) + карманные расходы
Выгодней будет до Каунаса на великах(всего 880 км ), а от туда есть рейсы до Эйндховена.
Ну по деньгам не по деньгам, можно постараться заработать и побольше, но проблема в том что, все таки это пиздец ребята одному в неизвестное место гнать, поэтому то и возникает вопрос про русскоговорящих с опытом.

We are also in the process of lining up the main headliners for the festival and so far things are looking really good! We will keep you updated, of course. We also want to point out that the tireless support from all of you, our beloved ‘burners, inspires us in our search for new bands to book. The wishlists on our official forum as well as the Roadburn Festival thread on last.fm have been a massive help! So many incredible and influential cult bands have been named, and we agree that all of the nominees would have made for one seriously amazing festival.
Sadly, harsh reality has proved to be kind of a buzzkill. The underground scene, too, continues to suffer from the global financial crisis. It’s getting harder to arrange one-off shows since so many established bands need to tour two or maybe three times a year in support of their latest release to be able to keep doing what they are doing, while new bands have it even rougher. As a last resort some bands end up drastically raising their fee.
It is also getting more difficult to fly bands in just for the festival due to the huge jump in airline ticket prices. Plus, some (US) cult bands can’t make it over here because promoters are unable to book them a full European tour. These are things we have to deal with on a daily basis right now, but we are not going to let them bring us down! In fact, we are positively brimming with ideas and we are going to rise to the various new challenges and make Roadburn 2011 just as epic as every edition so far. We’re up for it…how about you?
We’ll be announcing the first bands later this month, so please be sure to check the site!

Roadburn is very pleased to report that Sweden’s doom-legends Count Raven have been confirmed for a one-off show at Roadburn Festival 2011, set for Thursday, April 14th.
Sweden’s Count Raven is counted among the archetypal doom bands, and probably the most representative band of Germany’s legendary (and sadly defunkt) Hellhound label. Upon first listen, Count Raven comes close to cloning Black Sabbath (especially with the vocals being very Ozzy-like), but one can actually feel founder / guitarist / vocalist Dan “Fodde” Fondelius’ emotional engagement, and his poignant, all-too- real lyrics definitely help to dispel any perceived shortcomings in the vocal department.

а так местных героев хватает из Тилбурга и Эйндховена. но надо стучаться, когда нить откроют )

I really wanted to have [the band] on the bill of the Cineconcerts event. Each year, I invite a local band to produce an original musical work to perform during the festival for an audience comprising indie music and film enthusiasts. I had already managed to recruit death metal virtuosos Gojira to provide the live soundtrack to a Maciste Sword-and-Sandal epic. The result was amazing. Putting live metal at maximum volume to a fantasy film works really well. The audience is glued to their seat, totally breathless.
With Vampyr, the entire Year of No Light team – including the sound and light engineers – were closely involved in the project and the finished production made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end when I saw it! Their music ideally suits the gloomy atmosphere of Dreyer’s seminal masterpiece. It adds a new dimension to a tale of the struggle between shadow and light. небольшой процент говнеца должен быть на каждом фесте так можно сконцентрироваться на достойных и интересных группах. да и просто пивка попить, перекурить а вообще там 4 сцены. если вдруг где-то залип и разочаровался, уже через пол минуты можешь найти себе чегонить повкусу.

If we’re adding a band to the line-up, it’s because either we feel they need to be heard, or that the recent performances or recordings by these bands deserve them a slot on the bill. In the end, we always strive to bring you a well-balanced festival, and we’re in talks with dozens of bands, so the acts announced so far are only the tip of the iceberg. Rest assured that we have a lot of interesting tricks up our sleeve, all of which will come to light by the time that pre-sales begin later this year. (We don’t know the exact date that pre-sales will begin just yet, but the pre-sale date will be announced shortly). We’re anxiously awaiting to see what surprises are brought to us by Greg Anderson and Stephen O’Malley.

Electric Wizard, Church of Misery, Goatsnake, Sons of Otis... ну хотя бы эти. Я понимаю, что они были в прошлом году (кроме Электриков естественно), но все же. Нет групп, ради которых хотелось бы расшибиться в лепешку, но найти возможность посетить фестиваль. Пока для себя могу отметить только несколько ДЕЙСТВИТЕЛЬНО очень интересных групп:
- Cough - Pentagram - Blood Ceremony - Blood Farmers - Black Pyramid - Acid King
Маловато будет (с). Так что ждемс еще анонсов....
p.s. Забыл сказать, на Swans я бы тоже посмотрел

боюсь, что из этого никого не будет. про Electric Wizard органы писали; Church of Misery там 3 года подряд играли, к тому же х.з. че у них там с гитаристом; ну а Goatsnake и Sons of Otis врятли, т.к. в этом году играли
не знаю, мне лично ваще все интересны из лайнапа. Wovenhand, Year of No Light и Winterfylleth, возможно, немного меньше, чем остальное

Nearly six years in the making, Wardruna received rave reviews for their mesmerizing 2009 debut Gap Var Ginnunga, the first in the planned Runaljod trilogy that interprets the runes of the elder futhark. Gap Var Ginnunga will be released on vinyl on Burningworld Records prior to Wadruna‘s Roadburn performance.

Although Wardruna has garnered a respectable and surprisingly diverse following, the group rarely performs live. Needless to say we are extremely excited that the band has been added to our line-up. Wardruna will definitely add a new dimension to the kaleidoscope of styles and sounds associated with Roadburn.
Roadburn is thrilled to report that Swedish doom metal legends Candlemass have been confirmed for Roadburn Festival 2011. Originally scheduled to celebrate 25 years of doom at this year’s Roadburn in April, Candlemass ended up stuck in Stockholm due to logistic complications arising from the volcanic eruption in Iceland.
Candlemass is now scheduled to play on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the 013 venue, Tilburg, Holland. Starting at 15.45, Candlemass will perform a very special 2-hour set, which will include “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus” in its entirety; featuring original vocalist Johan Längquist.

Roadburn considers Candlemass one of the most important doom bands ever. They are on a very short list of doom greatness that includes Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Trouble and perhaps no one else. Their influence can be heard and felt throughout the current stoner and doom scene. It is a huge understatement to say that we’re looking forward to this special set with both Robert Lowe and Johan Längquist.

In the wake of the ticket mayhem prior to Roadburn 2009, we explored several possibilities for avoiding secondary ticketing. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent it from happening. We also noticed that all ticket outlets in the Netherlands cannot prevent scalpers from reselling tickets. A personal registration system for selling tickets was ultimately rejected. To do so would have required raising the ticket price even more, which simply was not an option.
Secondly, as much as we recognize the negative impact of scalping and strongly oppose the practice, it is not against the law to resell tickets in the Netherlands. The Dutch government has been dragging its heels on the ticket scalping issue for years. However, in an attempt to prevent unscrupulous brokers from interfering with Roadburn, we have set a two ticket limit per buyer for 3-day passes.

Roadburn 2011 What’s Going On? Part 3: The Afterburner

We have been busy setting the lineup of the festival, and as you all have seen, there have been some exciting announcements lately. We’re extremely honored to have Wardruna, very excited about Candlemass celebrating 25 years of doom with us, and thrilled about Godflesh performing their landmark debut-album, Streetcleaner, in its entirety, including the Tiny Tears EP. It will be the first time ever that Justin Broadrick and Benny Green will perform the album in full and in track order.
We’re fully aware that all of you are craving more band confirmations right now, especially with the announcement of our pre-sales, starting on Saturday, November 27th in mind. Please bear with us, as we’re currently finalizing the last details with lots of bands, and hope to release more confirmations in very short order. Sunn O)))‘s curated event at Roadburn 2011 is shaping up nicely as well. Greg Anderson and Stephen O’Malley are currently talking to their personally preferred artists and bands, and expect an update soon, too!
You might have noticed that we haven’t announced any bands for the additional Afterburner event yet. What’s going on? We have invited Black Mountain to headline this year’s Afterburner, and based upon our gut feeling, we think it might happen. This means that we’ll be using Roadburn‘s main stage for the Afterburner as well, as well as the Green Room and Bat Cave. We’re currently looking into all the logistics, and completing the extended lineup. We just need an extra week or two to get it all done properly.
There have been rumors about Blood Farmers and Black Pyramid, and we are delighted to say that both of them are indeed playing the Afterburner. Consider this a preview, and there will be an official announcement soon. It’s also true that we’re talking to Coffins, but it’s not finalized yet. We’re are also looking into ticketing for the Afterburner, and there’s a good chance that we’ll be offering a 4-day pass for those who want to experience to entire festival, as well as offering an additional Afterburner ticket as always.

Fans of late ’60s and early 70s-era heavy blues rock rejoice, Norway’s Lonely Kamel pack so much charisma it seems they could have once shared the stage with the likes of Cactus, Blue Cheer or even Pentagram. Dragontears, revolving around Lorenzo Woodrose and members of Baby Woodrose and On Trial rarely perform live, and besides a few shows in their homeland, the band’s only performance outside of Denmark took place at Roadburn 2009.

In the 12 years Buzzov*en was together, they released 3 LP’s (“To A Frown”, “Sore”, “…At A Loss”) and 5 EP’s along with their legendary “Buttrash” demo tape and the bootlegged but not officially released “Revelation: Sick Again” which was supposed to come out on Hydra Head Records. The influence of the band far exceeds their recorded output though, as they and Eyehategod are the forefathers of sludge / stonerand their frequent tours spread the sludge gospel far and wide, while spawning countless offspring wherever they roamed.
We feel extremely lucky to be able to bring Buzzov*en to the Roadburn Festival to give everyone a chance to experience their vitriolic riffs and rage filled performance.

Since 1999, San Francisco’s progressive black metal act Ludicra has been one of the best live metal bands on the planet. The group released its massively acclaimed fourth album The Tenant on Profound Lore in 2010 and is now set to make its European debut at long last.
Conceptually, Ludicra draws inspiration from the squalor of urban living in the Bay Area and this dark, yet life-affirming agenda finds an unparalleled voice in singer Laurie Sue Shanaman. Her vocals issue from a body wracked with emotion and terrifying honesty. Guitarists John Cobbett (Hammers of Misfortune, ex-Slough Feg, ex-Amber Asylum) and Christy Cather provide dueling riffs and leads. Bassist Ross Sewage is known for his work in Impaled, Ghoul, and a stint in Wolves in the Throne Room. And the drum throne is filled by none other than Aesop Dekker of Agalloch, and Worm Ouroboros.
Ludicra’s first album Hollow Psalms was originally released on the cult hardcore label Life Is Abuse in 2002 and was finally set to a gorgeous hand-made vinyl edition in 2010. Subsequent albums were handled by Jello Biafra’s Alternative Tentacles label also known for its work with Amebix and Neurosis. Now with Profound Lore Records and Nanotear Booking, Ludicra is outgrowing its cult status and taking its rightful place in the metal pantheon. Few bands can touch the powerful live presence that this band of brothers and sisters wields.
“Guitars sound like guitars, not digital chunks, twisting around each other in mournful wails, triumphant resolutions, and dreamy chords. Ludicra balance the beautiful and the ugly like few can” – Alee Karim, Invisible Oranges.
From his folky debut through the harder-rocking follow-up to his current album, The Voidist, Imaad Wasif (who has worked with the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Folk Implosion) proves himself to be a singer extraordinaire. Elements of mysticism pervade his music, as does a penchant for traditional rock riffs and the folksy plucking of bands like Led Zeppelin. Wasif’s guitar work — whether it be chugging riffs, fuzz-wah leads, or gently shimmering notes, comes straight out of the psych-rock handbook as well (think Nebula as a point of reference). However, it’s Wasif‘s smooth voice and his ability as a songwriter that sets him apart from his peers, whether he’s playing no frills rock and roll, or ghostly folk tunes.

Originally scheduled to perform at this years Roadburn festival in April 2010, Shrinebuilder ended up stuck in New York due to logistic complications arising from the volcanic eruption in Iceland. Roadburn is pleased to have the latest edition of Voivod but rather than Jason Newsted they’ll have original bassist Blacky the band, alongside original vocalist Denis “Snake” Bélanger, and touring guitarist Daniel Mongrain (Martyr, Gorguts, Cryptopsy) to perform exclusively material from when Blacky was in the band, from their 1984 debut War & Pain through to 1988′s Dimension Hatröss, which would also encompass such classic albums as Killing Technology (1987) and possibly their ultimate statement, Nothingface (1989).

ну, Hooded Menace (их альбомец этого года у меня в топ 5) это оч ахуенно! Aluk Todolo, думаю, тож доставят. Earth я видел в 2009 и, четно говоря, меня в сон клонило во время их сэта. с остальными бандами не знаком.
и повторюсь: РЕЮНИОН WINTER ЭТО ПОЛНЕЙШИЙ ПИЗДЕЦ!!!

Featuring former members of 13 and Buzzov’en in their ranks, Sourvein offers low-tuned, balls out, southern sludge metal. Word on the streets is that they have been slaying audiences across the US for the last couple of years with their heavy-as-fuck assault.
Influenced by old school 80s and 90s doom and thrash, Japan’s Coffins death metal onslaught also shows some heavy and oppressive sludge metal tendencies keeping them somewhere near the doom category, despite the band’s occasional upbeat parts or outbursts of speed. Since 1996, Coffins has put out crushing release after release culminating into 2008′s Buried Death, a punishing masterpiece of death doom (think Come my Fanatics-era Electric Wizard playing death metal, and you get Coffins).
